Biography

Yang Liu is currently a Ph.D. student (硕博连读) at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), supervised by Prof. Shi Gu at the Brain and Intelligence Lab. He received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Technology (Big Data) from Xidian University in 2020. He was a research intern at the Medical AI Lab of Alibaba DAMO Academy from September 2025 to March 2026.

His research focuses on multimodal learning and medical imaging, particularly on the following topics:

  • Visual Language Model (VLM) Alignment and Explainable Reasoning
  • Concept Bottleneck Models (CBM)
  • Medical Image Registration
  • Large Model Post-Training
